MemberVault is our favorite Membership & Course Platform! One of our favorite aspects of it is that it’s FREE to use forever up to a certain amount of members! This means if you’re running a smaller program, or only want to sell to a limited number of people you can use MemberVault For.Free.For. Ever.
It can be used as a membership platform, course platform, or just a place to sell your products. Some added bonuses are that it’s family run, has helpful and accessible customer service, the MV team is extremely responsive to suggestions, and it’s super user friendly.
ConvertKit is our tried and true Email Marketing platform! Some of our favorite parts of this platform is that there is a variety of analytics and data available; you can even see who hasn’t opened an email and resend it with a new subject! ConvertKit also allows you to segment lists, add tags and products to different subscribers, track what links subscribers click, and more. This makes email management and marketing so easy.
An added bonus that a lot of email platforms don’t have is the ability to create a landing page or form inside the platform that you can embed on your website, send in an email, or use standalone! ConvertKit is our one-stop shop when it comes to emails, opt-ins, and more!
Ahhh Asana. The absolute best project management tool – in our opinion! Whether you are a one-person operation or have a whole team, asana allows you to keep everything contained and on track! Oh, it also has a FREE FOREVER plan!
In Asana, you can house all your logistical information (we have a project called Business Blueprint where we store all of our platform credentials, go-to documents, brand elements, photos, and more). Another awesome ability that Asana has is that you can make a template and duplicate it as much as you need – This can be a template of a project, a task, or a subtask. You can assign due dates and ownership, as well as assign due date ranges to make sure your team has enough time to get their tasks done! We also love the different types of views for each project — List, Board, Timeline, Calendar, Dashboard, Progress, and more!
Loom is our go-to platform for screen recordings and video messaging! It’s so easy to use, you can share your screen or not, share your face or not, share your voice or not; it’s all up to you and what you need! There’s a desktop app and a google chrome plugin so you can record your screen at the click of a button, without having to open to another webpage.
We absolutely love to use it for doing tutorials within our team, and using it with clients to perform audits of sales pages, social content, etc. Loom has taken off even more over the past 6 months with the rise of virtual learning. It’s being used by teachers across the country! Oh yeah – did we say it’s free?!
Calendly is the world’s #1 Scheduling Tool! We use it All.The.Time! This is what allows us to send one link out to anyone that needs or wants to talk to us. We have different items on our Calendly that serve different people, but all of the “products” can live on one page with one link, so that we aren’t going back and forth with people trying to figure out a time to meet,
Another amazing part of Calendly is that links to calendar (Google, Outlook, Office 365, or iCloud). You simply let Calendly know when you’re available, and it will automatically block time out of your schedule when you have things scheduled in your google (or other) calendar. Another added bonus is that we can accept payments, so we can sell and schedule coaching calls at the same time!
Later is our favorite Social Media Management Tool! You can plan, schedule, publish, and measure the results of your Instagram, Facebook, Twitter, and Pinterest accounts all from one place! The FREE plan allows for 30 posts a month, and with paid plans there’s even more capabilities and more available metrics and resources! One of our favorite parts of Later is that we were able to create hashtag clusters and store them in Later to be able to paste on any post we make – either at the end of the caption or as the first comment of an Instagram post.
The best feature is hands-down the auto-post feature! If you want, you can create and schedule your entire week or even month of content and just let Later do the work of getting it shared across your social media channels! You might have seen the linkin.bio feature on our Instagram – that’s an awesome feature of Later! We just keep the same link in our IG bio all year round and can then input unique links to each picture we post. That way we can say, “click the link in our bio” without having to worry about it ever being outdated or hard to find.
What was life even like before Canva?! We can’t remember, that’s how often we use it!! Canva is where we create almost all of our social content, a lot of our promotional material, and most of our course curriculum – worksheets, slides, workbooks and more! Canva is FULL of templates, stock images, and easy-to-use editing features. There is also a feature for folders, so we can view all of our designs in one place, or sort them into folders by project, program, year, and more.
One of the best parts of Canva is that you can set up a Brand Kit that stores your colors and fonts, so that you don’t have to worry ever again about staying on brand. Another cool feature is the “copy” tool. Once you make something, you can make a copy of it and change things up, or make a copy and resize it (this comes in handy a lot when posting on our IG feed and stories).
Another super cool part of Canva is that it’s womxn-owned and a lot of small business owners sell Canva templates, so you can support small businesses, support an awesome womxn CEO, AND make incredibly aesthetically pleasing content for your own brand and/or company!
Launch in Style by Amanda Genther
Launch in Style is a template shop that allows you to launch your sales funnel within days! We love that it has full suites of templates that come with sales pages, landing pages, thank you pages, and social. Every template is ready for you to use! Just plug it into your website, edit your copy and adjust your branding, and voilà – beauty!
Want to see it in action? Check out our Workcation page. We used the Marie Collection for this, and just tweaked the branding to match our colors. We didn’t want to change it too much though, because it was so pretty!!
Savvy Social School by André Jones
Savvy Social School is an incredible educational program chalked full of resources of online entrepreneurs and content creators. Not only are you getting a whole educational course on how to run your own social media, but it’s also filled with templates for any platform you use! Every template is totally customizable, and super easy to use in Canva (remember, our favorite way to create content?!) This program is amazing, and SUCH A GOOD DEAL!

Voxer is a walkie-talkie messaging app that is so easy to use and brings back memories of playing walkie-talkie with your siblings and friends, but this time you mean business! It is absolutely the easiest way to get ideas back and forth, and you can even listen to a message while it’s being recorded, so it’s LIVE! We love being able to offer it to clients as an extra service!
Clipomatic is a smart video editor – it turns everything you say into captions! We love using this on Instagram to make our stories more accessible for everyone! All you have to do is hit the record button, start talking, and then your captions will appear! You can also edit the captions, but more time than not you won’t even need to. Another awesome feature is that you can make square or full size videos, so you can post on your feed or in your story, or wherever else you want to post it!
Punkpost is an app-based card delivery service! You go into the app, type out what you want the card to say, and then an actual artist goes in and hand-letters it all, and then it gets sent to whoever you want to send it too! It’s a one-stop shop for beautiful cards – you don’t have to buy stamps, you don’t have to get fancy pens, all you have to do is think about what you want the card to say and send that message to the artist! They’ll do the rest!
The Breathing App is a simple way to take a break during the day to remind yourself to breathe. The app has a timer that counts for one minute, which is perfect for us because even on a busy day, we can always spare a minute of time to reduce our stress and breathe. We like to use the app every day, because it’s a great way to make yourself take a pause and reset the day.
This list is a great place to get started or upgrade your existing systems, platforms and tools. Many of them are designed to work together and complement each other, making your job as CEO even easier! What tool will you be trying out?
